Ben Meets Gethin on Daybreak for the Jubilee Jamboree in St Asaph

Ben meets Gethin in St Asaph for the Jubilee Jamboree on Daybreak

Did you see our very own Ben Roberts on Daybreak this morning?

As the Jubilee torch passed through the city of St Asaph, Ben had a chance to speak to Daybreak presenter Gethin Jones about our Royal connection.

Showcasing a lump of Welsh gold rock from the Clogau St. David’s Gold Mine in Snowdonia, Ben mentioned how we use the same gold in our jewellery that the Royals have been using in their wedding rings since 1923.

A fitting way to pay tribute to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee!

Diamond Jubilee gifts containing the gold of Royalty

Marking the 60th anniversary of the accession of Her Royal Majesty The Queen to the throne, we are proud to introduce a collection of beautiful celebratory gifts most suitable for this momentous Royal occasion!

For over 100 years, Welsh gold has been the gold of choice of Royalty, and a touch of this very same gold is contained within each piece of Clogau jewellery.

A number of items, such as the Royal Jubilee pendants, have been created in association with Historic Royal Palaces the independent charity that looks after five of London’s Royal palaces.

Each beautiful collection has its own unique story, inspired by Royal tradition and heritage.

As an added sentiment, every piece is marked with the special commemorative Jubilee hallmark, or can be stamped for an additional cost of £20.

A visit from Richard Parks

We were delighted to have Richard Parks in the office today following the completion of his amazing 737 Challenge in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care back in July of last year.

Grateful for the support from Clogau as official sponsor, and funds raised via our dedicated 737 Challenge jewellery collection, Richard presented Managing Director Ben Roberts with a very special gift from his travels.

Thank you Richard and the rest of the 737 Challenge team!

Show your support for the Clogau ladies

Local children’s charity Ty Gobaith are holding their very first Midnight Pyjama Walk this Friday 11th May, which Clogau are delighted to be sponsoring.

This ladies only event, taking place at the magical hour of midnight, aims to support parents who care for life-limited children and know all too well how it feels to be deprived of sleep.

As one of the hospice’s visiting Mums said “It is a real luxury to stay at Ty Gobaith and enjoy a whole night’s sleep – it helps me to re-charge my batteries, ready for the interrupted sleep of the days & weeks ahead.”

The Clogau ladies will be donning their pyjamas and walking the 6 miles in aid of Ty Gobaith children’s charity and the care and support they provide to the children and their families.

If you can’t join the walk yourself, please sponsor us and together we can all make a difference to the lives of families visiting Ty Gobaith.

Thank you x
