Chairman & Founder aims to raise £25,000 for charity

Clogau Chairman, Bill Roberts, is set to abseil down London’s The Shard in just 10 days time!

The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to abseil the 310m building has been offered to only a select few before the building is set to open to the public in 2013.

Bill will be abseiling the tallest building in Western Europe to raise a minimum of £25,000 for two inspirational charities – The Outward Bound Trust and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund.

When asked about the challenge, Bill said:

“I’m delighted to be involved in such an exhilarating and unique opportunity to raise funds for such a great cause.

The Outward Bound Trust is committed to helping young people realise their potential through activities that simultaneously support their social and emotional well-being. Clogau has been pro-active in the support of many local charitable organisations and this is one of the most deserving.”

Some of the donations will be used for the redevelopment of the Aberdovey centre in North Wales, from which the very first Outward Bound course took place and where Clogau is based.

If you would like to help Bill reach his fundraising target, please kindly donate here:

The Best of British

2012 has so far proved to be a year of unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime occasions.

The highs and lows of such a year seem to have captivated a newly-founded sense of patriotism amongst the great British public.

In celebration of being witness to such a monumental year, we have created the British Charms collection of bead charms which playfully epitomises all things British, specifically the magnificent capital city of London.

These unique charms provide the most perfect way to remember the most precious moments of 2012.

Each bead charm, as with all Clogau jewellery, contains a touch of the very same rare Welsh gold as used by British Royalty for over 100 years.
