It’s been over a month since Clogau’s last blog post – and what a month it’s been!

Since the announcement of the engagement of Prince William to Kate Middleton late last year, our press office has been flooded with calls from people asking us the same million-dollar question…

“Are Will and Kate using Clogau Welsh gold for their wedding rings??”

Despite trying our very best, Clarence house is keeping all of the juicy details of the big day under wraps!

Welsh gold, from the Clogau mine, has been used to create Royal wedding rings since 1923. For this reason, we’re all very excited for Friday, 29th April, to find out whether or not Will and Kate have decided to continue this tradition.

Our Managing Director, Ben Roberts, has given his personal statement.

In celebration of the Royal wedding, we have launched a number of Royal-themed items for Spring & Summer 2011 including the re-designed Royal Roses and the celebratory Lillibet collections.

London, the home of all things Royal, has also been a key design inspiration, resulting in our new Kensington collection.

In celebration of our Royal association, our Spring & Summer 2011 wedding campaign will feature beautiful photography taken outside Westminster Abbey. We will also be holding numerous promotions in April and have released this exclusive engagement ring replica key-ring.

Our new Spring & Summer 2011 brochure is launching at the beginning of April. As a taster of what’s to come, here’s some behind-the-scenes shots from our bridal shoot…
