Following the success of our first flagship store in the Welsh capital and our Outlet stores in Cheshire Oaks and Bridgend, we are proud to announce the opening of a second store in the UK capital city which opened on Wednesday 28th October and third Outlet in the West Midlands which will open its doors in early November.gfonne-high-0053-web

Recently crowned Jewellery Brand of the Year at this year’s UK Jewellery Awards, we are thrilled to be a part of Westfield, London offering the ultimate shopping experience with over 300 designer and high street labels under one stunning roof.

Westfield London is rated the number one shopping centre in the UK and is in the top five tourist shopping destinations in London. The Village was the first luxury offer inside a shopping centre in the UK and has proved popular, attracting over 100 million visitors since opening in 2008. Thus, embarking on this exciting relationship with Westfield London will undoubtedly strengthen the brands growing UK profile and status to international partners and consumers.

Clogau are excited to begin a new chapter of our brand development and taking a significant step into expanding our footprint in London. The brand new store will offer a wide range of current product lines while celebrating their wonderful connection to the British Royal family with their royal-inspired collections, in association with Historic Royal Palaces.

In May 2015, Resorts World Birmingham welcomed His Royal Highness, the Duke of Kent. Clogau are excited to be a part of the first large scale outlet shopping venue, Resorts World and to begin a new chapter of their brand development in the West Midlands, offering a wide range of discounted and exclusive product lines.

Ben Roberts, Managing Director at Clogau talks about the two store openings:

With three stores already in the UK and a recent concentration on replicating this in China where we now have five stores, we find ourselves in a position where the footprint in the UK, especially the Capital city, needs to be strengthened.

The London and Birmingham stores whilst exciting couldn’t be more different. Westfield London is a flagship store and Resorts World Birmingham is an outlet store. Both have their place in our existing offering but for different reasons. Nevertheless, it’s exciting to see the brand growing in this way.

Happily gracing the rocky gardens of Wales, the Welsh Poppy bright and delicate has provided the inspiration for Clogau’s special Autumnal collection.

The Clogau Welsh Poppy collection captures the beauty of the iconic flower with its elegantly curved petals and sparkling black diamonds and rubies and adorned with glowing rose gold containing rare Welsh gold.

The collection provides an emblem of rememberance, dedication and appreciation for those who sacrifice themselves for the lives of the ones they love. Clogau are proud to support the Welsh charity, HTW Support who assist veterans to cope with life after the forces and helping families across Wales with emotional support as well as practical support. £10 of each Clogau Welsh Poppy piece sold will be donated to HTW Support.

The Clogau Welsh Poppy collection will launch Friday 25th September 2015.

Sonia Menezes, Global Brand Manager for Clogau, has been chosen as one of the 2015 Professional Jeweller Hot 100 – an industry accolade that celebrates the work of 100 leading movers and shakers in the UK jewellery industry.

Menezes, who was named Brand Champion, was credited with developing Clogau’s jewellery collections, creating brand campaigns, expanding work with QVC and continuing to set goals for the business and its staff. Sonia, who joined the team five years ago, is known in the industry for her smiley demeanour and never-give-up attitude.

Clogau, ‘Brand of the Year’ winner at this year’s UK Jewellery Awards, is known for designing jewellery that captures the hearts and imaginations of jewellery lovers far and wide. With collections ranging from rings and pendants to charm bracelets and earrings, every piece created over the past 25 years contains rare Welsh gold mined directly from the Snowdonia mountains.

Describing her achievements this year, Sonia said: “Our 2015 collections have been our most successful by far. I’m delighted with the reaction from trade and consumer press, our retailers and direct customers. Every person within the business is committed to making Clogau a success.”

She was praised by Professional Jeweller magazine, the UK’s foremost business title for the jewellery industry, for her confidence when it came to the huge challenge of growing Clogau’s brand appeal beyond the Welsh borders and for her unwavering cheerful nature.
