We at Clogau were proud to see Sukki Singapora wearing some our beautiful diamond Tree of Life collection during her recent visit to Buckingham Palace. Sukki, who became the first ever burlesque performer to be handed the prestigious honour of an invite for tea at the world famous palace, looked stunning in our Tree of Life pendant with a matching earrings.
Sukki was invited in recognition of her work on freedom of expression through the Arts within Asia. She described the event as truly the proudest moment of her life. Whilst also being the first burlesque performer to be invited for Tea at Buckingham Palace, Sukki can also claim to be the first burlesque performer from Singapore, too.
Speaking to us after the event, Sukki told us:
“So here I stand, the first Burlesque performer in the world to be invited for tea at Buckingham Palace since it opened 310 years ago, the world’s first Burlesque Performer from Singapore, a political activist for freedom of expression, and perhaps an unlikely role model for thousands of women across the world. I could not ask for a greater honour than this.”
Everyone at Clogau is delighted for Sukki and we’re thrilled that she chose some of our finest pieces of jewellery for the big occasion.
