About David

David Emanuel
Internationally renowned David has been designing clothes for members of British and European royal families, and for some of the World’s most beautiful women for over thirty years.

Best known for having designed the wedding dress worn by Diana, Princess of Wales, in 1981, David is now the host and Creative Director of TLC’s flagship show ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ in the UK.

I’m thrilled to work in association with a brand that holds values so closely aligned to my own. Clogau’s mix of rare Welsh gold, esteemed royal association and Cariad Am Byth message are at the core of the David Emanuel for Clogau collections.

Hampton Court Palace

The wonderful architecture, adornments and iconic motifs, provide inspiration for some of Clogau's most beautiful and memorable collections.

I am huge fan of Clogau and was thrilled to be asked to work with Ben and the team. I've taken inspiration for my collection from the romance and glamour of Britain's royal heritage.

I think that the combination of Clogau's signature rose gold and Swarovski's genuine topaz stones is a winning combination.

Windsor Castle

Queen Victoria and Prince Albert were great collectors, and the couple commissioned love tokens from jewellers. When Prince Albert gave Victoria an engagement ring, an item little known in Britain in the early 19th century, he began a fashion that has endured ever since.

St. Paul's Cathedral

In 1981 I had the commission of a lifetime, co-designing the wedding dress for Lady Diana Spencer.

On the 29th July of that year, watched by 750 million people worldwide, Lady Diana became the Princess of Wales, wrapped in ivory silk taffeta and antique lace, tens of thousands of pearls and an incredible 25 foot train.

The David Emanuel collection celebrates a motif that adorns so many wedding dresses, signifying hopes for a wonderful future.
