Kimberley Process

Every supplier of gemstones to Clogau Gold has given a written assurance that the diamonds have been sourced from conflict-free countries and conform to the terms of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme which came into effect in January 2003. For more information on the Kimberley Process, go to www.kimberleyprocess.com

For any product fabricated from rough diamonds mined from 01.01.2003 onward, we warrant that the diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and are in compliance with United Nations Resolutions. We guarantee that the diamonds are conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds. For any product fabricated from rough diamonds mined prior to 01.01.2003,  we warrant that conflict diamonds will not be knowingly sold and that, to the best of our ability, will undertake reasonable measures to help prevent the sale of conflict diamonds in this country.

Nickel Policy

Clogau declares that all items of jewellery we supply and will continue to supply conform to the ‘Dangerous Substances and Preparations (Nickel) (Safety) Regulations 2005.'

It is fully understood that it has become illegal to import any product into the UK which releases 0.5 micrograms per square centimetre of nickel into the skin.
