Beautifully finished and expertly handcrafted, this sterling silver Cariad® locket can be opened to reveal two heart-shaped spaces in which a special memento can be kept close to your heart at all times. Carefully inscriped across the front of the heart-shaped locket is the Welsh word Cariad®, meaning love, beloved or sweetheart. The locket contains rare Welsh gold.     Cariad locket. Ordered online, but using the catalogue that I had been posted as a guide. Everything OK, goods arrived within a few days, exactly as per specification. Item arrived in presentation box, which is ideal as it is for a special birthday for a Grandaughter. Although I have bought from Clogau before, this is the first time I have done it online, and will probably also do my next purchase online.

    Fantastic Quality. I bought this lovely locket for my daughters special forth coming 16th Birthday, it has so much meaning from me & her mum! The fact that it is gold from Snowdonia gives it even more special meaning. I will have a very happy daughter when she opens her presents, & she will be proud to wear it, i carefully cut pictures of her mum & i & put them inside, it is beautifully engraved with Cariad on the front & i had Am Byth engraved on the back, which basically means our love fore ever.. What a fantastic meaningful present to give a special person on their special day.. Where ever her life takes her in the world, her mum & i will be there with her, close to her heart! However, i do feel that the 6 character limit for engraving isnt quite enough & i would have been happy to pay extra for more..

    Amazed by the quality of the locket and service!. I bought this locket as a gift and I am amazed by the quality of the locket and service. After reading the reviews some commented on the size of the actual gold I can say I was very happy with its size and quality. The service was unbelieveable. I ordered it on a Thursday morning and they had said it was out of stock. Taking into account that I also requested it to be engraved I received an e-mail later that same day saying it had been dispatched. It arrived Friday!! Overall I am very happy with this product I will definitely be purchasing more items from Clogau Gold in the future and I would highly recommend this product!

    Cariad Locket. Excellent customer service - prompt delivery and great aftercare. Unfortunately, another item in my order has a very minor fault, but was exchanged instantly - I posted it back on Wednesday, they received it Thursday, and I had a replacement delivered Friday morning! Watches normally have an ATM classification which relates to their degree of water resistance.

ATM is a measure of atmospheric pressure at sea level. 3ATM means the watch can withstand 3 times the atmospheric pressure at sea level and 5ATM to 5 times the atmospheric pressure at sea level. This can sometimes cause confusion as some people interpret this as how far the watch can be taken underwater before it is compromised. This is incorrect. As rain water splashes against your watch it hits it with a degree pressure. This is what the ATM measurement relates to; the pressure of splashes against your watch.

Clogau watches have a water-resistant rating of either:

3ATM or 30m (3 Bar)
5ATM or 50m (5 Bar)

These make them suitable for everyday use and resistant to modest water/rain splashes. They are not suitable for swimming, showering, bathing, diving or water sports so you will need to remove your Clogau watch before taking part in these activities. It’s also important to remove your watch before entering a steam room or a sauna. Extreme heat can cause damage to the watch seals and condensation can form inside the watch.
