The Clogau Size Guide:

Finding the Perfect Fit

Finding a special piece is about more than choosing a design you love. The right fit makes every piece feel more comfortable, more flattering, and easier to wear.

If you're shopping for yourself or selecting a gift, finding the correct jewellery size is essential. This guide explains how to measure ring size, choose the right necklace length, and find the perfect bracelet or watch fit, helping you shop with confidence.

Here's how to find your perfect fit.

Necklace & Pendant Lengths

The length of your necklace or pendant can completely change the way it looks and layers. Whether you prefer delicate styling or statement pieces, choosing the right chain length helps your jewellery complement both your outfit and your personal style.

You can find the length of a Clogau pendant or necklace in the details section of the product. This also includes information about the available jump rings and the different lengths at which the piece can be worn.

Choker (16")

Sitting close to the neck, a choker creates a modern, effortless look. It's perfect for open necklines and works beautifully layered with longer chains for added dimension.

Princess (18")

The most versatile and popular necklace length, the princess chain sits just below the collarbone. It's a jewellery staple that pairs with almost any neckline and makes the perfect base for layering.

Matinee (20–22")

Falling lower on the chest, the matinee length offers a more relaxed silhouette. Ideal for styling over knitwear, shirts or dresses, it also adds depth when layered with shorter necklaces.

Ring Sizing

The perfect ring should slide comfortably over your knuckle whilst fitting securely enough to stay in place throughout the day. It should feel snug, but never restrictive.

How to Find Your Ring Size

  • Measure your finger using a Clogau® Ring Sizer.
  • If you're choosing a wider band, consider sizing up slightly for extra comfort, as wider rings can feel tighter.
  • Avoid measuring when your hands are particularly cold or warm, as finger size naturally changes with temperature.
  • Our rings are measured using the inside diameter of the band to ensure consistency across different designs.

If Your Ring Doesn't Fit

If your new ring isn't quite right, unworn Clogau rings can be exchanged for a different size within 30 days of purchase. Many styles can also be professionally resized at a fee when returned to us, although designs with continuous patterns around the band are typically unable to be altered.

Our ring sizes range from a J through to a Z, depending on the collection. If you're unsure, using a ring sizer is the most accurate way to measure before ordering.

Bracelets & Watches

A bracelet or watch should feel secure without being tight. The right fit allows for comfortable movement whilst keeping your jewellery perfectly in place.

Adjusting Your Watch

If your new watch feels slightly loose, don't worry. Simply return it to us or visit one of our stores, and we can adjust the size by removing or adding links, creating a fit that's tailored to your wrist.

How to Measure Your Wrist

  • Wrap a soft measuring tape around your wrist where you would naturally wear your bracelet or watch.
  • If you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string and mark where it overlaps.
  • Lay the string flat and measure it against a ruler.

Having your wrist measurement to hand makes picking the right bracelet or watch much easier.

Choosing the Right Bracelet Size

For the most comfortable fit, add approximately 1–2 cm to your wrist measurement depending on how you like your jewellery to fit.

  • Close: add 1cm.
  • Standard: add 1.5 cm.
  • Loose: add 2 cm.

Buying as a Gift?

If you're shopping for someone else and aren't sure of their size, gifting adjustable jewellery, such as our Nature's Wonder Sterling Silver Forget-Me-Not Adjustable Bracelet, or measuring a ring or bracelet they already wear can help you select the closest fit.

The Perfect Fit

Whether you're selecting a meaningful gift or treating yourself, taking a few moments to measure ensures lasting comfort and confidence.
